The House of Praise Christian Revival Center, Inc. (HOPCRC) is a non-denominational Christian church which was established in April 1989 by Jesus Christ and nine Founders.
The House Of Praise Christian Revival Center, Inc. is established as a beacon in the community and the world as a place of worship, rest, fellowship and guidance for all...."
We are located within the township of Riverhead, Long Island, New York.
We PRAISE because it is an act of adoration for OUR GOD. Praise is an inward and outward expression of our thankfulness and relationship with JESUS THE CHRIST. WORSHIP is a reflection of the deep inner commitment to CHRIST. There is no greater honor than to Praise and Worship while doing HIS will.
This is the name that was given to us by Divine Inspiration. The name is a signal of what we actually do. We ARE a House of Praise that Revives Christians. We are a resting place for Christians who praise or wish to praise GOD. Without rest or without a place to 'rest' (to express your deep inner longing to praise God), you cannot fully function as you were created. Birds praise GOD every morning with their songs. Animals constantly acknowledge the authority of GOD. Man is to Praise his CREATOR and acknowledge GOD's authority over him. All persons can praise; praise comes in a song, a dance, a word, a prayer, a movement: '...every thing that has breath' should praise the LORD!
Our Pastor is Rev. Mary A. Cooper who is the Bishop of five congregations and the President of the Riverhead Clergy Council. The Riverhead Clergy Council consists of eighteen churches and thirty clergypersons.
Pastor Cooper is a native of Long Island, New York and has travelled extensively throughout the nation and overseas.
Her vision for the House of Praise Christian Revival Center, Inc. is that the core membership will all become Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven. Her dream is that the entire Body of Christ will operate in the Power and the Anointing of the Holy Spirit.
She embodies the Great Commission which instructs us to "Go ye into all of the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15.
"Blessed are they that dwell in Thy house; they will be still praising thee, Selah." Psalm 84:4
The officers of the HOPCRC are the embodiment of the five-fold ministry which has three separate and distinct purposes:a. Perfecting the saints - assisting in the maturation and completion of their Christian walk,b. Work of the ministry - for the passion and drive necessary to continue and complete the work of the ministry, and,c. Edify the body of Christ - to uplift, adorn, and enhance the Church. Five-fold Ministry "And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" Ephesians 4: 11-12 "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversity of tongues."
